Partnering a service dog results in a dog of immeasurable worth to someone in need. With financial support, our Service Dog Partners provide for the up to 2,500 hours of instructional training for each dog, the veterinary care, premium dog food and training supplies needed resulting in a quality trained service dog that knows 90 commands to assist someone with a disability.
A Service Dog Partner can select from several support options, benefiting with the tax deductible contribution, including a one time donation in any amount, or a monthly ($100), quarterly ($300), semi-annual ($600) or annual ($1,200) donation to Canines for Service. Thaddeus is another new kid on the block. He passes his evaluation and entered the training program in February 2012 having spent time at Francis Willis SPCA. Thaddeus is eager to learn and wants to please, He knows someday he will have a very special job and help a Veteran who needs him. |

Hadar joined the program from Francis Willis SPCA in Charleston after a short stay in the shelter. A big boy at 10 months old weighing 85 lbs, he will spend the months ahead learning new skills, getting rewarded and loved in preparation for his future job as a service dog. |
