Position Title: Fundraising & Marketing Assistant
Department: Development & Marketing
Position Summary:
The student intern will support the Fundraising and Marketing team through project development, social media strategy, event coordination, and outreach. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit management, community engagement, and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Fundraising and Marketing team with day-to-day operational tasks.
• Develop and execute a full fundraising project during the internship period, under the guidance of the Development Director. Responsibilities include project planning, marketing, implementation, and evaluation.
• Support the organization’s social media strategy, with a strong emphasis on creating video-based content.
• Assist with event planning, logistics, and on-site event support.
• Attend and participate in community outreach events on behalf of the organization.
• Contribute to the management and optimization of Google Ad Grants initiatives.
• Complete additional administrative or program support tasks as needed.
Time Commitment:
• Must be able to commit to working a minimum of 8-16 hours per week
• Must be able to work during regular office hours of Mon-Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
• Some weekend and evening hours may be beneficial to assist with events
Specific Project Ideas:
• Implement and manage the CFS Google Ad Grant
• Review and update the CFS policy manual
• Develop and implement a new fundraising campaign or event to generate revenue for the organization
• Research and update the CFS organization grants calendar
