U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Josh, received his service dog, Lucille, in April 2024. When Josh applied to receive a service dog, he rarely left the house and hadn’t traveled since leaving the military in 2007.
Two months after receiving Lucille, Josh went to Hawaii with his family. He was able to be more present with his family during the vacation and used Lucille’s tasks to mitigate his anxiety in large crowds and on planes.
U.S. Navy Veteran, Jay, was partnered with CFS service dog, Ruby, in December of 2023. Ruby was trained to alert Jay to his pacing and anxious behaviors.
U.S Army Veteran, Meg, was partnered with CFS service dog, Skye, in November 2023. Skye was trained to support Meg by alerting to various alarms, retrieval of items, and providing deep pressure therapy to ease anxiousness.
