Marty & Maverick

U.S. Air Force Veteran, Marty, received his service dog, Maverick, in September 2024. When Marty first applied to receive a service dog, he was having multiple nightmares a week. After just one day together, Maverick was able to interrupt Marty’s nightmare and provide him with the support he needed through deep pressure therapy.

Maverick also aids Marty by alerting him if someone is coming up behind him in a crowded area and making space in a crowd. After the team was partnered, Marty said, “You aren’t giving me a dog, you are giving me a chance.”
